Academic Support

“Build an educational relationship with each student, who must feel welcomed and loved for what he or she is, with all of their limitations and potential."     -Pope Francis

At Saint Joseph High School, we believe in supporting all students through inclusive education in the classroom. The goal of the Academic Support team is to provide a well-rounded education that encompasses not only academic excellence but also spiritual growth. Our team is dedicated to helping students thrive academically and achieve their full potential while upholding the principles and values of our Catholic faith.

The Academic Support Program at SJHS includes:

  • 1 full-time certified special education teacher who provides academic support
  • Reading and math specialists provided by the Intermediate Unit
  • Lunchtime peer tutoring run through the guidance office

SJHS with the University of Notre Dame:
Currently, the Saint Joseph High School Academic Support team members are completing certificates in the Program for Inclusive Education at the University of Notre Dame.
