Frequently Asked Questions
Shouldn't I be saving money for college rather
than spending it on high school tuition?
St. Joseph High School is a good investment on many levels. Your
son/daughter will not only be prepared for college courses, but can actually
earn as many as 35 college credits from La Roche College, St. Vincent College
and the University of Pittsburgh while attending SJHS. This equates to
over a full year of college at a fraction of the cost. The true cost of a
Catholic education, an education rooted in Gospel values, is priceless and
provides a lifetime of advantage.
Is St. Joseph High School on sound financial
footing?
Yes. In our recent endowment campaign, we raised $1 million to help
ensure affordable tuition and continue financial stability. We have a
group of parents, alumni and community leaders committed to helping SJHS grow
and prosper. We don't believe in constant fund raising for parents.
There are no separate booster clubs for each sport/activity. Our parents
have only three major fundraisers that help support all extracurricular
activities.
