Welcome To The World of Mathematics and Science

I have been teaching since 1973. I retired after teaching 35 years from the Pittsburgh Public Schools, having taught mathematics and physics, and served as Department Head of Science for ten years, and serving as the Distance Learning Coordinator for the district. I Have been teaching at Saint Joseph High School since 2011, teaching Physics II, College in High School Physics from Duquesne University, Material Science, Robotics I and Robotics II, and Trigonometry. I am a Master Teacher working for ASM International, teaching teachers throughout the country, on how to implement Material Science in their classrooms. I have been a recipient of the Carnegie Science Award for teachers in 2011, and also received the Kishor M. Kulkarni Distinguished High School Teacher Award. Have been a recipient of numerous grants and awards which have been converted into a functional Material Science Laboratory Have authored the curriculum for the Material Science Course and also authored the book, The World of Materials, published by Springer Publishing.
