Students present their Latin projects in class to share what they have learned about Roman culture.
Students work on Chapter 2, Present Tense & Direct Object, Ex.A 1-10, Ex.B 1-10, Ex. C 1-10, p.12. This may take two weeks.
Students learn the 2nd Declension by doing ex. A and ex.B sentences 1 to 5, p.22. This will take most of this week.
Students take a practice vocabulary test for the first two chapters. This will help to build confidence for the real test to be determined on Monday.
Students take their first vocabulary test on chapters 1, 2, and 3.

Students take their first Latin test covering chapters 1 through 4.
Students go over Test 1 looking for “BHM’s” and why they happened.
Students go over Chapter 5(pp. 27 through 31) doing exercises that are chosen to strengthen the weaknesses of the group.
Students are introduced to the Imperfect and Future tenses of verbs by doing exercises A, B, and C, p.40 and exercise D, p. 41.
Students go over Chapter 6 Latin Adjectives. Homework will come from exercises A, B, and C on p. 36..
Students are tested on vocabulary words from chapters 3, 4, & 5.
Students prepare for their second review by doing exercises from Review 2, pp. 48-50.
Students take a test on the first 8 chapters in Review 2.
Chapters 11 & 12, The Perfect Tenses. We combine two chapters to learn completely all of the Perfect Tenses.
Students finish watching “Ben-Hur” for Catholic Schools week.
Students take a vocabulary test on chapters 13, 14, and 15.
Students take test #5 using syntax and their rules to translate basic Latin sentences.
Students look at Ch. 21 Numerals. They translate sentences 1-5 in sections A & B. p. 120.
